Thirty riders (some looking like aliens) and a three member support crew accompanied Leslee Mitchell on her second Outer Limits ride over the weekend of October 13th and 14th.
The group gathered in Lake Mary before sunrise on Saturday morning despite the forecast of gusting winds coming from the northeast. Leslee gave a brief review of the weekends plans before the riders were off in search of the Outer Limits (a.k.a New Smyrna Beach). After 70 miles of headwinds, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, the fragmented group made their way to the Best Western in NSB. An afternoon of relaxing and recovering at the pool and beach preceded the evening pasta feast. The wind was still blowing the next morning as they headed back to Lake Mary but this time it was a tailwind the whole way back. All the aliens returned safely while vowing to tune in next year to The Outer Limits.
