Once again this year, the Florida Freewheelers are supporting our members that participate in the CF Cycle for Life ride on October 5th by sponsoring a team in this year’s ride. CF Cycle For Life is a one-day tour where hundreds of men and women will come together to participate in an event to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
Participants have the choice of 32, 65 or 100 mile routes through Seminole and Volusia Counties. The bike tour is a fully supported journey with stocked rest stops every 12-15 miles, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, on-site medical services, and much more. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure in a tangible, emotional and experientially powerful way. More information on the ride is available at http://fightcf.cff.org/site/TR/Cycle/32_Florida_Orlando?fr_id=2548&pg=entry
The first 60 club members who wish to participate in the event and agree to wear a Florida Freewheelers jersey during the ride will have their cost of the ride paid for by the club; i.e. registration fee and minimum fund raising requirement waived. Although the minimum fund raising requirement is waived, all FFW participates are encouraged to raise donations. In order to take advantage of this agreement the club has reached with the CF Foundation, you must pre-register.
Stuart Beal is serving as the team captain for the event.
