Members can become certified Ride Leaders — Florida Freewheelers provide all the structured training and support to help you get started.

CLUB-PRODUCED EVENTS
Florida Freewheelers proudly hosts two of Florida’s premier cycling events each year. While these events are open to the public and not tied to member benefits, they play a vital role in supporting our mission and the cycling community.
Florida Bicycle Safari — April
A multi-day cycling experience through North Florida (and sometimes South Georgia), featuring scenic routes, fully supported rides, plentiful SAG stops, and great food. This long-running event brings cyclists together from all over the Southeast for an unforgettable week on the road.
The Horrible Hundred — November
Our largest annual event and the club’s primary fundraiser. For over 45 years, nearly 2,000 cyclists have traveled to Clermont to take on Central Florida’s hills on 35-, 70-, and 100-mile fully supported routes, all made possible by incredible Freewheeler volunteers.
