Who are the Florida Freewheelers?

The Florida Freewheelers is a cycling club with more than 700 members based in Central Florida

Its members are people like you who ride bicycles for recreation, fitness and sport. The club has riders of all shapes, sizes and skill levels ranging from beginner to recreational to racing. You may see cyling enthusiasts from the age of two to ninety-two.

Building Your Cycling Base like a Pro

Years ago, when I was an aspiring amateur bicycle racer, I attended several one week pro bicycle training camps sponsored by several European pro bicycle teams. All aspects of professional bicycle racing were covered. One of the topics was that of preseason “base building” and its purpose that I had not heard of up until that time.
